Window Treatments for Unique Window Shapes
Every home is unique, and every room in every home has its own opportunities for design. Some homes include window shapes that may be considered unique, non-traditional, or different! At Jackie and Bill’s Draperies and Interiors, we don’t want you to let the size or shape of your window make it difficult to find the right window treatment-they’re an equal opportunity for design. Angled Windows
Angled windows are a new trend that can often be found in contemporary homes. These windows add a dramatic flair to any room, but it can be challenging to find the right window covering for them. Since the windows themselves are often a statement piece, we suggest using Hunter Douglas Heritance® Hardwood Shutters, which, as window treatment, serve as a statement that can be seen from the inside and outside. At Jackie and Bill’s Draperies & Interiors, we carry a wide selection of blinds, shades and shutters that can be custom fit for your angled windows and match your design inspiration.
Arched Windows
While arched windows add charm and flair to your home, they can also prove challenging to fit for window treatments. We suggest the Hunter Douglas Duette® Honeycomb Shades with the EasyView® Arch. These shades, unlike most other cellular shades for arched windows, can be raised and lowered like typical window treatments and are fully functional while remaining cohesive with the rest of your window treatments. We can fit all shapes of arched windows including extended arches, half-moon-shaped windows, quarter circles, perfect circles and more!
Skylights
Skylights are a beautiful addition to any room that bring light and character. Bay Windows or Box Windows
Bay Windows and box windows are a feature that give a typically flat wall a picturesque element and dimension. A bay window consists of three windows that are positioned to each other at an angled shape, where a box window consists of four or more windows in a curved shape. For either type of window, window treatments are generally standard rectangular installations since each window is independent of the others, so your choices for window treatments are varied!
